Job Description

As a seasoned Revenue Recognition professional, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth through accurate and timely recognition of revenue. Your expertise in US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, will ensure compliance with financial regulations.

  • Lead the end-to-end revenue recognition process to guarantee accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze customer contracts to determine proper revenue recognition treatment and mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and contract interpretations.
  • Prepare revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Develop and implement effective processes to ensure timely follow up for prompt collections from customers.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls over revenue recognition processes to minimize errors and discrepancies.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • At least 5+ years of experience in revenue recognition or technical accounting.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606.
  • Proficiency in tools such as QuickBooks, ZOHO Books, XERO, etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
