About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Procurement Manager to lead the procurement of bandwidth and IT solutions. As a key strategic position, you will be responsible for nurturing corporate relationships with top-tier vendor leadership and forging new partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the bandwidth procurement strategy while managing end-to-end services and agreements with global IT vendors.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard global/corporate vendors aligned with organizational needs; negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service level agreements.
  • Establish and enforce procurement policies to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and fairness.
  • Souce and procure IT hardware and infrastructure, including servers, dark fiber, and bandwidth solutions, laptops, firewalls, software, and data centre accessories.
  • Manage contracts for critical IT assets.
  • Champion total cost of ownership by leveraging market intelligence, cost benchmarking, and supplier negotiations to optimize IT/Tech spend.
  • Maintain trackers and management information system reports.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of procurement experience, preferably in telecom, data centre, or IT infrastructure.
  • Strong background in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering (IT/Telecom/Electronics) preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent in Supply Chain/Procurement/Business Administration is a plus.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.

Operational & Strategic Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong customer focus.
  • Expertise in total cost of ownership analysis, leveraging market intelligence, benchmarking, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience in managing supplier costing models, including manpower and IT/Tech category spend.

Behavioral Traits:

  • Adaptable and open-minded, quick to embrace new ideas and changing business needs.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a results-driven approach.

Additional Requirements:

  • Professional certifications in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools such as enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, etc.
