Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist

  • Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team.

As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of procurement strategies that align with the organization's objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute supplier relationship management initiatives in line with organizational priorities.
  • Handle indirect commodities procurement, including HR services, IT services, managed services, training services, recruitment services, loan and lease services, insurance, product warranties, RSA, and more.
  • Stratify suppliers based on strategic importance and design customized supplier engagement programs.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify risks early and proactively mitigate them.
  • Lead and conduct annual supplier events, including working on content and messaging for the supply base.
  • Monitor supplier performance and raise alerts on any technology, supply chain, or quality gaps, and work with suppliers to design improvement plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good experience in understanding the supplier landscape, value chain mapping, and total cost of ownership calculations.
  • Experience in drafting contracts and negotiating legal terms and conditions is required.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies with suppliers.
  • Ability to manage the three pillars of program management – time, cost, and quality.
  • Ability to work well within a team, enjoying collaboration, persuasion, and influence.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure to manage challenging deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in engineering and MBA would be desired.
  • 8-15 years of relevant functional experience in handling indirect commodities procurement.
