Role Overview:

  • This position is responsible for leading the banquet team and assisting in event execution.
Job Responsibilities:

Key areas of focus include developing a high-performing team, communicating performance expectations, and managing departmental finances and operations.

  • Leadership: Develops and directs team to provide consistent, high-quality service; communicates performance expectations and trains staff in processes.
  • Financial Management: Responsible for managing financial and administrative duties.
  • Inventory Management: Manages departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment.
Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED;
  • Experience: 2 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, or related professional area.
Main Activities:

Some key activities that will be undertaken by the successful candidate include:

  • Supporting Department Operations and Inventories: Maintains attendance log for banquet employees; maintains and enforces established sanitation levels.
  • Managing Departmental Inventory: Conducts monthly department meetings with the Banquet captains and employees.
  • Leading Banquet Teams: Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings; leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events.
  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Sets a positive example for guest relations; interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
