Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist - Children's Products to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

• To contribute to the development of the divisional Buying and Merchandising strategy and work within this strategy at all times, analyzing market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth.">
• To work with merchandising team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders, effectively managing supplier relationships and negotiating favorable terms.">
• Identify possible future product offerings by conducting thorough research about what customers are looking for next and technological trends that are coming up, staying ahead of the competition and driving business success.">
• Plan pricing strategies on various product lines with the marketing department and management, aiming to reach an agreement with suppliers for optimal pricing, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.">
• Developing and sourcing the right product at the right time to meet customer requirements, delivering high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.">
• Maximizing current sourcing channels and identifying new opportunities, continually improving processes and efficiency.">
• Supporting negotiations and working with the supply base to ensure best costs and margins are achieved, maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.">
• Working closely with Designers on developing styles; design research trips, fabric & print advice, and informing best sellers for move-on styles, driving product innovation and creativity.">
• Working closely with Merchandising; managing stock, style options, quantities, promotions, and markdowns, optimizing inventory levels and reducing waste.">
• Keeping a track of competitor's activities through market research activities to track understand trends, forecasting, in terms of color, fabric, etc., staying informed and competitive.">
• Product presentation, packaging, and product development, and develop promotional plans, creating engaging and effective campaigns.">
• Review and adjust season plans and weekly plans, continually assessing and improving performance.">
• Vendor identification and development, building strong relationships with new suppliers.">
• Obtaining range merchandise after effective negotiation, securing the best possible deals.">
• To work with Marketing and Design to develop Visual Merchandising promotions in line with theme and product launches, creating visually appealing displays.">
• Ensuring timely delivery of samples by vendors, meeting tight deadlines and schedules.">
• Setting standards for quality of merchandise with QA, ensuring high-quality products.">
• Reconciling to store plans and fixing departmental financial plans, maintaining accurate records and budgets.">
• Supporting negotiations and working with the supply base to ensure best costs and margins are achieved, maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.">
• Working closely with Merchandising; managing stock, style options, quantities, promotions, and markdowns, optimizing inventory levels and reducing waste.">
• To conduct the annual review of supplier performance with QA, evaluating and improving supplier relationships.">
• To pursue and recover all money due from vendors as a result of performance penalties or markdown and promotional contributions, maintaining a positive cash flow.">
• To regularly update the front-end on key product benefits, keeping customers informed and engaged.">
