Procurement Specialist

Kauvery Hospital, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage its procurement activities efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations.

Job Description:

  • Manage procurement activities, including identifying reliable vendors, negotiating cost-effective purchases, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials and services.
  • Develop alternate sourcing strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Conduct vendor performance evaluation based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and payment conditions.
  • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies and approvals.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production schedule.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the stores/warehouse for replenishment.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems / MS Office.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Vendor relationship management.
  • Cost-conscious with attention to detail.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Engineering / Management.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase in a manufacturing/industrial setup.
