- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure timely procurement of trims and fabrics
- Regularly review order status, production progress, and delivery timelines to prevent delays
- Develop pricing strategies and negotiate costs with buyers and suppliers
- Maintain effective communication with buyers regarding order updates, changes, and queries
- Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and buyer expectations through market research
- Accurately maintain all merchandising records, reports, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and buyer requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with ERP/MIS systems
- Knowledge of fabric types, trims, washes, and garment construction
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
