Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Logistics Manager to oversee distribution planning, dispatch planning, and secondary logistics operations across the country in real-time. This key role will involve generating inputs for long-term infrastructure and operations execution.

Main Responsibilities

  • Distribution Planning: Develop and implement effective distribution strategies to meet customer demands, ensuring timely delivery of products nationwide.
  • Dispatch Planning: Coordinate with transportation partners to optimize routes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Secondary Logistics Operations: Oversee the Secondary Distribution network, including 57 CFA locations and depots, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality service delivery.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in senior logistics management roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of improving logistics efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of Regional Logistics resources.

Network Analysis and Cost Optimization

  • Conduct comprehensive network analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize depot locations.
  • Develop cost-saving initiatives, such as warehouse consolidation and direct dispatch, to achieve optimal service costs without impacting service timelines and service levels.

Performance Measurement and Appraisal

  • Establish performance metrics to measure Secondary CFA performance and provide regular reviews and appraisals.
  • Monitor quality and stock audits at CFA/depots and ensure closure of NCs through follow-up.

Logistics and Operations Management

  • Responsible for cost tracking (budget vs. actual) and providing inputs on the same for corrective actions.
  • Negotiate freights with transport contractors based on company guidelines.
  • Negotiate with CFA's for fixed and variable costs with qualified market inputs.

Long-term Demand Planning and Operations Management

  • Use various forecast techniques to generate and keep current and expected demand plans for at least 2-3 years with qualified inputs from various stakeholders.
