About the Job:

We are seeking a seasoned AP professional to lead our financial operations in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high-volume AP team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all transactions. Additionally, they will supervise, mentor, and develop AP professionals to build a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee AP department activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop AP professionals and senior staff to enhance team performance and productivity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, responding to queries, concerns, and providing exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve AP policies, processes, and internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Oversee cleanup, coding, and reconciliation of bank transactions for newly onboarded clients.
  • Partner with client service teams to tailor AP processes to meet unique client needs.
  • Monitor AP metrics, prepare dashboards, and report to senior leadership on performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal audit requirements.
  • Drive automation and process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability of AP operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred).
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in managing high-volume AP operations in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, reconciliations, transaction coding, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar) and AP automation tools.
  • Working knowledge about various prepaid and credit card applications is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, particularly in client-facing situations.
