We are seeking an experienced professional to join our finance team as an Accounts Payable Specialist.

This role involves managing and executing complex accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, strong internal controls, and full compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper GL coding and policy compliance, resolving any discrepancies or issues independently.
  • Lead communication and issue resolution of escalations with vendors and internal teams or sensitive accounts, maintaining strong relationships.
  • Prepare and schedule payments, including cross-border and multi-currency transactions, aligning with contractual terms and optimal cash management practices.
  • Owning AP reconciliations, aged payables analysis, and ensure completeness of accruals during month-end and quarter-end closes.
  • Implement and optimize AP automation tools and workflows, proactively recommending and testing improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Maintain robust supporting SOP documentation and address internal control weaknesses to ensure perpetual audit readiness.
  • Support external and internal audits by coordinating data requests, process walkthroughs, and remediation of audit findings.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles, preferably within dynamic and high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using ERP/AP systems and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve complex issues with minimal supervision.

This is a hybrid role that requires working 3 days a week from our Bangalore office.
