Total Rewards Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • This role requires the ability to manage and rationalize variable pay, performance-linked pay, and bonus programs to ensure consistency and equity across the organization.
  • A strong collaborator, this person will work with senior leadership to design incentive programs that drive high performance and employee engagement.
  • Market analysis and benchmarking skills are essential for conducting research to ensure the organization remains competitive within its industry.
  • Regular audits and reviews of compensation and benefits programs will be conducted to maintain accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness.

Benefits Management:

  • This position oversees employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other voluntary benefits.
  • The successful candidate will ensure that benefits programs are aligned with employee needs while being cost-effective and compliant with all applicable regulations.
  • Ongoing assessment and refinement of the benefits offering will be necessary to remain attractive to current and prospective employees.

Performance Management:

  • This role partners with key stakeholders to refine and execute the organization's performance management framework.
  • The ideal candidate will provide guidance and oversight on the performance-linked pay process to ensure it rewards the right behaviors and outcomes.
  • Ensuring that performance management tools and processes are consistently applied across the organization will promote fairness and transparency.

Compliance & Governance:

  • This position ensures the organization is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • The successful candidate will develop governance frameworks and policies to standardize rewards and performance management processes.
  • Staying current on industry trends, legal updates, and best practices will inform decision-making and recommendations.

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • This role collaborates with the HR team and business leaders to ensure alignment between rewards and performance initiatives and broader business objectives.
  • The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance to HR Business Partners and other team members on compensation, benefits, and performance management issues.
  • Acting as a strategic advisor to leadership on total rewards and performance topics, this person will help shape the organization's approach to talent management.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on total rewards and performance management.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing compensation and benefits programs, with an emphasis on consistency and equity.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience in market benchmarking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and compensation software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across functions and levels.
