Land Acquisition Professional

Land Acquisition is a critical component of real estate development, involving the identification and acquisition of land parcels for projects. A Director of Land Acquisition plays a pivotal role in spearheading this process.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating feasibility, engaging with brokers and landowners, and facilitating the entire acquisition and closing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate land parcels in pre-defined target micro-markets to identify potential opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong network of brokers, landowners, developers, and other intermediaries to facilitate seamless transactions.
- Track market opportunities and upcoming transactions to stay ahead in the competitive landscape.
- Conduct due diligence, including title, zoning, FSI potential, ready reckoner rates, and development control regulations.
- Coordinate with internal analysts to prepare feasibility studies, financial models, and market assessments.
- Assess alignment of land parcels with the company's product design and business model.
- Organize meetings between key stakeholders, including legal, finance, and management teams.
- Work with legal counsel, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of deals.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Architecture, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or investment.
- Strong knowledge of local land acquisition processes and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing land transactions.
- Established network with brokers, landowners, and developers in the region.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
