Assistant Accountant Role Overview

Job Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transaction Management:

Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records.

  • Accounting Entries & Record Keeping:

Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to maintain accurate financial records. Maintain records of accounts payable and receivable. Ensure timely posting of transactions in the accounting system.

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Ad-hoc Financial Tasks:

Address any urgent financial or accounting queries as required. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for financial matters.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and financial management.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Unit4, Zoho, or SAP).Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools.Knowledge of IFRS / Ind AS.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
