As a senior accounting professional, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of projects, ensuring timely and accurate billings and payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project accountancy systems to optimize financial performance.
  • Maintain and update company accounting procedures, guaranteeing compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, financial planning documents, and other key financial reports.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports to management for informed decision-making.
  • Initiate transfers of expenses into and out of project-related accounts as needed.
  • Review and approve supplier invoices related to projects, ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of project variances and submit detailed variance reports to management.
  • Follow up on outstanding customer billings to minimize delays.
  • Present regular project status reports to management, highlighting key financial insights.
  • Identify opportunities for additional revenue through targeted business development strategies.
  • Process write-offs of unbilled customer amounts in accordance with established protocols.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining general ledger accounts, debtor and creditor accounts, and project files, as well as preparing government returns and balance sheet reconciliations.
