Job Title: Senior Database Migration Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Migration Strategist to lead our database migration efforts across various data centers and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments, including backup/recovery, replication, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive database migration strategy that ensures successful migrations, minimal downtime, and seamless delivery across all phases of the program.
  • Lead the end-to-end migration lifecycle, including assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration with minimal business disruption.

Required Skills:

  • 12+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) implementation and management.
  • Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible for IaC-based DB provisioning and hybrid migration scenarios (on-prem to Exadata, Exadata to ExaCC, ExaCC to cloud).
