Role Overview :


We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure mission-critical database systems on AWS, including RDS and Aurora for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL.

This role involves ensuring high availability, performance tuning, security compliance, and supporting large scale data migration initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional Responsibilities Provisioning & Management :


- Provision, configure, and maintain AWS RDS and Aurora instances for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL.

- Implement multi-AZ deployments, read replicas, and high-availability solutions.

- Perform database patching, version upgrades, and backup validation.

- Conduct disaster recovery drills to ensure Availability & Performance Optimization :


- Configure MSSQL mirroring, log shipping, and failover clustering.

- Monitor and troubleshoot replication and failover issues.

- Conduct query performance tuning and implement indexing strategies.

- Perform load testing and resolve resource contention & Compliance :


- Enforce access controls, encryption, and auditing policies.

- Utilize AWS services such as IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and CloudTrail for security compliance.

- Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in database Migration & Integration :


- Design and manage AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) jobs.


- Troubleshoot DMS replication delays and task failures.

- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams on migration planning and & Advisory :


- Work closely with application teams to improve database access patterns.

- Provide guidance on schema design, data modeling, and optimal access strategies.

- Analyze logs and system metrics to diagnose performance Qualifications & Skills : B.Tech / B.E / MCA.

Experience :


- 6- 8 years in database administration, with at least 3 years on AWS RDS and Aurora.

- Strong expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL administration.

- Proven experience with HA/DR configurations, performance tuning, and database security.

- Proficiency in AWS DMS, query optimization, and indexing.

- Solid understanding of AWS cloud services and security best practices
