Executive Director of Financial Strategy

Key Responsibilities- Oversee and ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting and financial modeling processes to guide strategic business decisions and maximize returns on investments.
- Implement and enforce budget control mechanisms across the firm and portfolio companies to optimize resource allocation and minimize waste.
- Consolidate financial data across businesses, ensuring accuracy, compliance and transparency in reporting.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate, cut and optimize costs to drive profitability and improve cash flow.
- Review and validate financial reporting of portfolio companies, providing actionable insights to inform investment decisions.
- Provide diligence and oversight during investments, M&A, fundraising and exits to ensure optimal outcomes for our partners and investors.
- Support leadership with data-driven recommendations on capital allocation, return on investment and performance optimization to drive business growth.
- Drive financial strategies that align with our growth and scaling goals, leveraging industry expertise and market knowledge to stay ahead of the competition.
- Lead and oversee contract negotiations with clients, vendors and employees to ensure optimal terms and conditions.
- Manage financial/legal negotiations to minimize risks and maximize benefits for the firm and its portfolio companies.
- Partner with legal and business teams to reduce risks and improve deal terms, ensuring alignment with our growth strategy.
- Drive company-wide and employee-level performance management, linking key performance indicators (KPIs) to financial outcomes to measure progress and success.
- Support leadership in building compensation structures tied to performance and cost efficiency to motivate employees and drive business results.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to track business, team and portfolio performance, providing real-time insights to inform decision-making.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, banks and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Lead, mentor and challenge finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance and risk management, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Establish strong internal controls, compliance processes and risk management frameworks to protect the firm's assets and reputation.
- Ensure all finance team outputs and portfolio company reports are reviewed, validated and optimized to meet stakeholder expectations.
