Key Responsibilities of a Commercial Audit Manager:

  • Lead financial statement audits in accordance with US GAAP and US GAAS standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise a team of accounting and auditing professionals to deliver high-quality work products.
  • Conduct thorough research on accounting and auditing matters, providing expert analysis.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues and supervisors through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Analyze the impact of presentation and disclosure on financial statements, providing actionable insights.

 

Requirements for Success:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in US GAAP and GAAS, with a strong background in commercial audit management.
  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification in accounting and taxation, demonstrating expertise in financial regulations.
  • Familiarity with Caseware and Caseview is an asset, showcasing technical skills.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities, with excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Industry experience in General Commercial, preferably in the construction industry, with a focus on reviews and compilations.
  • Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to adapt to urgent project needs.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work extended hours during peak season.
  • Willingness to learn new software and technologies, demonstrating a growth mindset.
