Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. This includes:

  • Placing inquiries with local or import vendors based on project or day-to-day requirements
  • Comparing offers received for the inquiries
  • Shortlisting suitable suppliers based on company-defined parameters
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Placing purchase orders to local or import vendors
  • FOLLOWING UP FOR PURCHASE ORDERS FOR TIMELY DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS
  • HANDLING LOGISTICS FOR THE ORDERED MATERIALS
  • HANDLING SUPPLIER PAYMENT CYCLE AS PER AGREED TERMS
  • FINDING/ADDING NEW/POTENTIAL SUPPLIERS BASED ON REQUIREMENTS OUTLINED BY THE COMPANY
  • DOING FOLLOW UPS FOR THEIR WIRE TRANSFER PROCESS
  • END-TO-END IMPORT / EXPORT DOCUMENTATION AND FOLLOW UP
  • ARRANGING FORWARDERS FOR IMPORT/EXPORT OF SHIPMENTS BASED ON SHIPMENT AND SHIPPER DETAILS
  • CHECKING IMPORT DOCUMENTS LIKE INVOICE, PACKING LIST, BILL OF LADING, AIRWAY BILL, CHECKLIST AND BILL OF ENTRY
  • ISO DOCUMENTATION RELATED TO PURCHASE DEPARTMENT
  • END-TO-END HANDLING OF PURCHASE MATERIALS
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and vendor agreements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics

  • 8+ years experience in Purchase / Procurement - Import & Export
  • Fluency in English, Marathi, Hindi
