Job Role:

You will lead the management of distribution planning, dispatch planning & secondary logistics operations across the country in real-time. This includes generating and providing inputs for long-term infrastructure and operations execution.

The role involves managing a pan-India secondary distribution network, including 57 CFA locations and Depots with a team of Regional Logistics resources.

You will provide systems and process frameworks for secondary distribution operations in coordination with customer departments.

Critical analysis and workings will be provided to support management decision-making, including production planning, plant capacity utilization, and augmentation.

Qualified inputs will be provided for creating and implementing various SOPs regarding day-to-day operations at Depots and CFA.

Design and implementation support will be provided for information systems in line with SOPs.

Cost-saving initiatives such as warehouse consolidation, direct dispatch, etc., will be developed and implemented to achieve optimal service cost.

Secondary Cost MIS along with variance analysis and focus areas for cost reduction will be provided.

Secondary CFA performance metric measurement and appraisals with regular reviews will be conducted.

  • Maintaining quality and stock audits at CFA/Depots and closing NCs through follow-ups.
  • Administering cost requests from CFA/Depots along with qualified inputs and reasoning for management approval.

Long-term demand planning and operations management involve using forecast techniques to generate current and expected demand plans for at least 2-3 years.

Network analysis and cost working for optimization include conducting complete network analysis of existing and required best-fit Depot locations to achieve organizational objectives of sales growth at optimal costs.

Logistics and operations management involve cost tracking (budget vs actual), providing inputs on corrective actions, negotiating freights with transport contractors, and negotiating with CFAs for fixed and variable costs.
