A Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of employee timesheets, ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills to verify hours worked, leave taken, and overtime.
About the Role:- Key Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of timesheets, including hours worked, leave taken, and overtime
- Manage payroll department's mailbox, responding to queries and organizing incoming timesheets and documents
- Double-check data entries for inconsistencies or errors
- Maintain flawless records by accurately saving timesheets and updating Excel trackers
- Identify and communicate special payroll instructions to the payroll team
- Assist in preparing supporting documentation for client invoices
- Update and maintain payroll records, ensuring they are complete and stored securely
- Handle sensitive employee information with strict confidentiality and follow data protection protocols
- 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar corporate role
- Analytical skills to analyze data, identify inconsistencies, and resolve issues efficiently
- Attention to detail to review data, spot errors, and ensure accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and documenting processes clearly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive team culture
