Backend Software Engineer

We're looking for a skilled software engineer with a systems thinker mindset to design, build, and maintain backend components, APIs, and integrations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in backend engineering and system architecture. A strong grasp of data flows, infrastructure, and integration patterns is required.

Familiarity with REST APIs, backend/frontend integration, and secrets hygiene is also necessary.

Candidates should have analytical thinking skills and be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Backend Components: Develop scalable and efficient backend solutions using various technologies.
  • Architect Data Flows: Design and implement data pipelines across various systems, including PostgreSQL, key-value stores, caches, and object storage.
  • Implement Security Mechanisms: Secure authentication and authorization mechanisms to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with teams to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.

A strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.

Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and DevOps practices is highly desirable.
