Job Purpose

To drive sales performance and expand market share. Developing and executing effective sales strategies to achieve business targets.

Supporting Actions

(CASH) Sales targets : Achieve sales targets in volume, revenue, and mark up in line with the annual business plan.

  • Develop annual and monthly sales plans for assigned territory based on plants capability and market needs.
  • Regular customer visits to understand customer needs and secure orders.
  • Maintain regular contact with the plant on order status, production, and despatch schedule.
  • Monitor business & Sales targets for the assigned territory and take appropriate measures.

(CASH) Receivable Management : Achieve collection target and DSO as per P&B.

  • Interface with Regional & Plant Accounts for LCs, Relator adjustments, etc.
  • Regular tracking and monitoring of customer receivables and follow-up for payments.
  • Prepare monthly Liability Provisions and issue Requests for Credit Notes.

(CUSTOMER) Customer Service : Continually improve customer satisfaction level by addressing and acting on their needs and expectations.

Market Intelligence and Market.

  • Handle customers directly, make visits as planned, service orders and liaison with Plant for deliveries, complaints, etc.
  • Regular contacts with existing, dormant, and lost customers for repeat, regular, and new orders.
  • Handle customer complaints, conduct preliminary investigation, interact with Plant, respond to customer, and close the loop.

4.Interface with Plant and transporters for expediting despatches.

(SUSTAINABILITY) Market Intelligence and Market Development : Gather market intelligence on competitor activities and report to Lead- Carbon on regular basis.

  • Undertake market surveys/market research, as and when required.
  • Gather regularly market scenario, customers plans, competitors moves, pricing, etc.

(SUSTAINABILITY) Profitability : Negotiate prices with customers and achieve realization in line with Business profitability targets.

  • Achieve the product-wise realization target set by the business.
  • Reduce expenditures as per target set by the business.
