Job Description:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Tender Executive with experience in solar projects to manage the tendering process from start to finish. This includes identifying opportunities, preparing technical and commercial bids, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring timely submission in compliance with client requirements and government norms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study and analyze tender documents: Review scope of work, technical specifications, BOQ, drawings, and contractual terms to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements.
  • Identify relevant tenders: Utilize various portals to identify potential projects and assess their feasibility.
  • Coordinate with teams: Work closely with engineering, design, procurement, and finance teams to gather necessary inputs for bid preparation.
  • Prepare and submit proposals: Develop detailed techno-commercial proposals, pre-qualification documents, and pricing sheets for timely submission.
  • Ensure compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor bids, and changes in government solar policies or tender procedures.
  • Participate in meetings: Attend pre-bid meetings, prepare clarifications, and ensure compliance with client feedback.
  • Report and maintain dashboards: Prepare internal reports and maintain tender status dashboards to track progress.
  • Handle documentation: Manage tender documentation, vendor registration, and client follow-ups efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Science / Commerce or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in tendering for ground-mounted / rooftop solar projects.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of government tender portals like GEM, E-Tender, NTPC, SECI, MNRE, etc.
  • Technical skills: Excellent understanding of solar PV systems, bidding norms, and cost estimation.
  • Software proficiency: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint; ERP knowledge is a plus.
  • Soft skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
  • Personal qualities: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry experience: Experience working with large EPC contractors or solar energy developers.
  • Contractual knowledge: Knowledge of contract terms like EPC, BOOT, PPA models.
  • Government norms: Familiarity with government norms for solar project bidding and compliance.
