Job Title: Chief Credit Strategist

We are seeking an experienced credit expert to lead the credit risk, underwriting, and portfolio management functions.

About Us:

Our company specializes in supply chain financing solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Policy Frameworks: Define, implement, and monitor credit policies, frameworks, and processes for SME/MSME lending and supply chain financing.
  • Underwriting Function: Lead the credit appraisal and underwriting function, including assessment of borrower risk, financial due diligence, and creditworthiness evaluation.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee portfolio quality, delinquency management, and design early warning mechanisms to mitigate risk.
  • Leadership Role: Work closely with business, risk, and operations teams to balance growth objectives with prudent credit practices.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Present credit proposals and portfolio performance updates to senior management, board, and regulators as required.
  • Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing credit team capable of handling scale.
Required Skills:
  • Experience: 8–15 years of experience in credit risk/underwriting, preferably with NBFCs, fintechs, or banks with strong SME/MSME exposure.
  • Supply Chain Finance Expertise: Strong understanding of supply chain finance, bill discounting, invoice financing, and related credit products.
  • Credit Framework Development: Proven ability to build credit frameworks from scratch and manage large loan books with quality.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms, compliance requirements, and RBI guidelines for NBFCs.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
