Technical Project Manager Job Description

As a technical project manager, you will be responsible for coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. This includes ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.

You will develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. You will also ensure resource availability and allocation, developing a detailed project plan to track progress.

Appropriate verification techniques will be used to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. You will measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.

A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner is required, as well as hands-on experience with project management tools such as Basecamp or Trello.

Agile methodologies, especially scrum/kanban-based execution, are also essential. You should have hands-on experience with Jira and ensure consistent delivery quality across all streams of work.

Requirements:
  • Great educational background, preferably in computer science or engineering, for technical project managers.
  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • PMP/PRINCE II certification is a plus.

Having experience in IAM systems, especially SailPoint-related product implementation and support, is a great positive.
