Job Title: Technical Engineering Specialist

Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will provide technical expertise in structural design and engineering for Social Infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience. A postgraduate degree in Structural Engineering is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide structural design inputs for Social Infrastructure DPR projects (schools, hospitals, community centers, sanitation facilities, water supply structures, etc.).
  • Review and finalise structural designs, drawings, and detailed estimates.
  • Conduct structural analysis and ensure compliance with international standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other specialists to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Assess foundation design, load calculations, earthquake-resistant design, and durability aspects.
  • Prepare design basis reports, structural BOQs, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct a review of DPR deliverables (draft and final reports) from a structural perspective.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and support capacity building.

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in structural engineering design for buildings and social infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of IS codes, IRC standards, and international guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Background:

  • Prior experience in DPR preparation for social infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in both government and donor-funded assignments.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and disaster-resilient design practices.
