Job Title

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items requested by supervisors.
  • Develop advanced knife handling skills.
  • Work in any kitchen section.
  • Apply good food knowledge and culinary terms.
  • Read, understand, follow and prepare company recipes.
  • Complete tasks efficiently and productively.
  • Maintain public health standards in the kitchen.
  • Ensure assigned area is clean for inspections.
  • Report for duty at assigned times and maintain uniform and hygiene standards.

Financial Requirements:

  • This position requires proper use, handling and maintenance of records and supplies.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Culinary degree required.
  • Strong management and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of quality service standards and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  • Intermediate computer software skills required.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to write reports and establish rapport with colleagues.

Internal Candidate Requirements:

In addition to stated hiring requirements, internal candidates must fulfill the following:

  • Completion of at least one contract as Commis Cook with a performance rating of satisfactory or above, along with demonstrated leadership skills.
