The job of Remote Desktop Support Engineer is a critical role in ensuring seamless user experiences across diverse environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide round-the-clock technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals to guarantee minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  2. Monitor and respond to incidents within strict Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines using ticketing systems to optimize efficiency.
  3. Conduct in-depth remote troubleshooting, escalating unresolved issues to collaborate with global IT teams for cohesive support.
  4. Support users across multiple time zones by maintaining logs of shift activities and handover reports for continuity.
  5. Offer technical assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals, resolving hardware and software issues both onsite and remotely.
  6. Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications, responding to user tickets and resolving issues related to Windows, Mac, or Linux environments.
  7. Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system updates, ensuring timely updates and patches for systems and applications.
  8. Train users on basic IT procedures and best practices, maintaining inventory of IT assets and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Requirements:
  1. 3+ years of experience in desktop support, with a focus on remote desktop support and Windows expertise.
  2. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid mode.
  3. Strong knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux environments, as well as proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  4. Ability to maintain accurate records, adhere to SLAs, and collaborate with global IT teams.
  5. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
