About the Role

This Senior Public Relations Consultant position is based in Bengaluru and requires an emerging company leader who can deliver on our vision, performance requirements, and growth projections.

The role has two main aspects: client management and media expertise. As a client manager, you'll act as account lead for your clients, providing daily counsel, overseeing account activities, and ensuring our work meets quality, strategic, and creative standards.

You'll partner with leaders to develop strategy and oversee a team of junior staff to execute it. Additionally, you'll focus on developing media strategies that earn clients coverage for product/service announcements, executive visibility programs, and proactive campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Team lead for medium to large-sized accounts, providing client consultancy and day-to-day account management.
  • Project managing accounts to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of work.
  • Managing Associate Consultants and Consultants, playing a key role in their development and training.
  • Overseeing account administration, including maintaining WIP documents, writing contact reports, and sharing coverage and managing media lists.
  • Leveraging media networks and successfully pitching in stories.
  • Understanding and enabling the use of traditional and social media tools to track coverage, gauge online sentiment, and understand media and industry trends.
  • Contributing to new business development by cultivating relationships with clients, building business networks, and attending networking events.
  • Participating in Archetype's new business pitching.

Requirements

  • An experienced Account Manager (8-10 years' experience).
  • Experience in technology, B2B, or corporate PR, preferably with a strong understanding of regional media.
  • A proven track record of leading accounts, providing high-quality client counsel, and delivering creative ideas and solutions.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to draft PR materials such as press releases, bylines, and articles.
  • Proven experience in managing and supporting junior team members with client work and career progression.
  • Strong contacts with local media, particularly in business, tech, and/or finance media.
  • Experience working on new business pitches.
