Job Title: Team Leader - CRE Lending

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our team of analysts supporting the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending operations. This role will oversee day-to-day delivery, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and manage client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management & Delivery: Lead and mentor analysts processing CRE loan applications, credit documentation, and portfolio management.
  • Ensure delivery in line with SLAs/KPIs: Achieve 98%+ right-first-time documentation accuracy.
  • Track, review, and report team performance: Conduct regular feedback and coaching.
  • Operational Excellence: Enforce adherence to AAF Lending Policy, Standards, and Lending Criteria.
  • Review and approve credit papers/documentation: Prior to submission.
  • Support the use of front-end systems: Monitor loan applications through approval.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as single point of contact for client stakeholders in the UK.
  • Manage escalations: Provide operational updates, lead process alignment discussions.
  • Facilitate transparent communication: Between India and UK teams.
  • Compliance & Risk: Oversee collaboration with KYC and Financial Crime teams.
  • Ensure compliance: UK banking regulations and client-specific policies.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting: Identify initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare and present reports: Performance dashboards and insights for senior leadership.
  • Training & Development: Conduct training on UK CRE lending practices, compliance, and systems.
  • Drive culture of continuous improvement: Professional growth.
  • Ad Hoc: Participate in UK stakeholder meetings, handle special projects.

Candidate Profile:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience: Commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial services.
  • Proven leadership experience: Working with UK/international banking clients.
  • Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership, team management capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge: CRE lending, credit documentation, compliance.
  • Effective communication: Stakeholder management skills.
  • Attention to detail: Analytical mindset, problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient in tools: Banking systems, reporting, MS Office.
