Senior Vessel Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee and control vessel operations at port, ensuring zero service failure through effective management of resources and personnel.
  • Collaboration and Optimization: Coordinate with key stakeholders, including principals, vendors, and external agencies, to optimize revenue and improve operational procedures, resulting in enhanced efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Main Objectives:

  • Capacity Allocation and Liaisoning: Organize and manage operational activities, including capacity allocation and liaisoning with government bodies, to ensure seamless execution of vessel operations.
  • Cost-Effectiveness and Compliance: Enforce cost-effectiveness, compliance with regulatory requirements, and problem-solving skills to prevent claims and maintain operational safety standards.
  • Innovation and Team Management: Develop and implement new operational procedures and systems to enhance service innovation, efficiency, and team performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Postgraduate degree from a premier institute and at least 18-20 years of experience in handling and managing vessel operations, equipment control, and container/bulk/break bulk/project cargo/ro-ro operations.
  • Mastery and Certification: Master Mariners or equivalent experience preferred.
