We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our team in Uganda.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Internal Audit Plans: Create comprehensive plans that align with SOPs and other relevant regulations.
  2. Review Audit Procedures: Examine and improve internal audit procedures, processes, and SOPs to ensure they meet prevailing standards.
  3. Perform Specialized Audits: Conduct spot, individual, and investigative audits according to SOPs and international audit standards.
  4. Monthly Stock Management: Develop and execute monthly stock plans in line with standard operating procedures.
  5. Asset Verification: Conduct thorough verification of company assets, stock, and make recommendations for safeguarding and protection.
  6. Transaction Review: Review and report transactions and costing studies as directed by the Lead - Internal Auditor.
  7. Scheduled Audits: Conduct scheduled and special audits, providing recommendations for improvement.
  8. Audit Risk Assessment: Review and update audit risk plans in relation to audit plans.
  9. Audit Findings: Discuss and disseminate audit findings and recommendations with the Lead - Internal Auditor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in internal audit, preferably in manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of internal audit principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Africa experience is mandatory.
