**Job Title:** Senior Commercial Lending Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Commercial Lending Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality loan applications and portfolio management. This role will lead day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and manage client stakeholders in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor analysts processing commercial loan applications, credit documentation, and portfolio management.
  • Ensure timely delivery in line with service level agreements/key performance indicators with a 98%+ accuracy rate.
  • Monitor, review, and report team performance; provide regular feedback and coaching.
Operational Excellence:
  • Enforce adherence to lending policy, standards, and criteria.
  • Review and approve credit papers/documentation prior to submission.
  • Support the use of front-end systems to monitor loan applications through approval.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the single point of contact for client stakeholders in the UK.
  • Manage escalations, provide operational updates, and lead process alignment discussions.
  • Facilitate transparent, regular communication between teams.
Compliance & Risk:
  • Oversee collaboration with KYC and Financial Crime teams for onboarding/fraud cases.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and client-specific policies.
Process Improvement & Reporting:
  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and insights for senior leadership.
Training & Development:
  • Conduct training on commercial lending practices, compliance, and systems.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Candidate Profile:

**Education & Experience:**

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial services.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and working with clients.

**Skills & Competencies:**

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial lending, credit documentation, and compliance.
  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient in banking systems, reporting, and MS Office tools.
