The Role: Solar Operations & Maintenance Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our solar operations and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our solar assets, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and analyze the performance of multiple solar plants to identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.
  2. Coordinate with site teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, resolve issues promptly, and implement best practices across all sites.
  3. Spearhead the development of high-performing site O&M teams through recruitment, training, and retention strategies.
  4. Ensure seamless project handovers and takeovers, adhering to defined scopes and protocols.
  5. Manage weekly/monthly reports, documentation, invoicing, vendor bill verification, and ERP approvals.
  6. IDentify opportunities to optimize O&M costs without compromising service quality by onboarding quality local vendors.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A B.E. degree in Electrical or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
  • At least 7-10 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Solar O&M as a middle-level manager.
  • Prior experience with 33kV substations, transmission lines, and related troubleshooting is highly valued.
