Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Land Acquisition Specialist to lead our land acquisition process for renewable energy projects across Maharashtra.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for identifying and acquiring suitable land parcels, building relationships with local stakeholders, conducting title due diligence, and ensuring compliance with state-specific policies.
  • You will oversee the entire land acquisition process, from scouting to negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.
  • You will work closely with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments to achieve project goals.
  • You will conduct thorough title due diligence and ensure legal sanctity of land through coordination with legal teams.
  • You will oversee Road Occupancy (RoW) acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • You will ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  • You will monitor local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to ensure cost-effective deals.
  • You will supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
  • You will handle conflict resolution and address any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.
  • You will regularly update management on project progress, risk factors, and mitigation plans.

Requirements

  • You should have a strong understanding of renewable energy policies and regulations in Maharashtra.
  • You should be able to build relationships with local stakeholders and negotiate land acquisitions.
  • You should have excellent communication and project management skills.
  • You should have experience with land acquisition processes, including title due diligence and RoW acquisition.
  • You should have knowledge of state-specific policies and regulations related to land acquisition.
