Chief Sales Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Sales Strategist to lead our sales efforts in the Central Government ministries.
Role OverviewThis is a key leadership role that requires building and nurturing relationships with senior bureaucrats, government officials, and decision-makers to influence and drive sales.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of government tenders, procurement processes, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth in the Central Government market
- Build and manage relationships with key OEMs and partners to develop joint strategies for winning government business
- Provide strategic input and insights into market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform business strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, bids, and other documentation necessary for government projects
- Proven experience of closing large business opportunities in Central Government during the last 3 financial years
- At least 10-12 years of overall sales experience with a minimum of 5 years specifically in Central Government sales
- Engineering graduate + MBA (preferred)
- Must have worked in a System Integration company, with deep familiarity in selling IT solutions to Central government
- Strong knowledge of government business processes, including familiarity with government tenders, procurement policies, and contract management
- Proven relationships with senior government officials and key OEMs
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to manage complex government deals, excellent relationship management, and strategic thinking
