Job Title: SMB Portfolio Sourcing & Management Specialist

 

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our team as an SMB Portfolio Manager. This role focuses on identifying growth-ready small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enabling their expansion through strategic partnerships, funding access, market linkages, and advisory services.

 

Main Responsibilities

SMB Identification and Engagement:

  • Source high-potential SMBs by partnering with industry bodies, government agencies, and corporate partners.
  • Lead the onboarding of SMBs into accelerator and growth programs aligned to market and sector needs.
  • B establish collaborations with corporate accelerators, commerce chambers, and public support schemes.

Scaling and Market Access:

  • Facilitate corporate partnerships for pilots, proof-of-concepts, and business-to-business deals.
  • Advise SMBs on scaling strategies, product-market fit, and customer acquisition.
  • Support SMBs in public procurement and government tendering.

Alternative Financing and Investment Readiness:

  • Help SMBs access grants, concessional capital, impact investments, and debt instruments.
  • Connect SMBs to alternate funding sources, such as SIDBI, state schemes, and micro-venture capital.
  • Organize investor engagement events, including pitch days and matchmaking sessions.

Tracking and Impact Measurement:

  • Maintain a portfolio database tracking SMB growth metrics, including revenue, job creation, and funds raised.
  • Develop case studies, impact narratives, and success stories.
  • Provide data-based insights into regional SMB trends and policy implications.

 

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a candidate with 4-7 years of experience in SMB engagement, industry associations, or corporate innovation programs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of SMB growth challenges, market development, and financing ecosystems. Experience with public procurement, government schemes, and B2B partnerships is highly desirable. Strong stakeholder management, program execution, and business advisory skills are essential for this role.
