We are seeking an accomplished leader to assume the position of Chief Procurement Officer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that drive cost savings, improve quality, and ensure uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw materials, chemicals, consumables, and services that ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor global and domestic chemical markets to anticipate pricing trends and availability.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Identify, assess, and develop suppliers (domestic and international).
  • Lead negotiations and manage long-term agreements, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.

Cost Optimization & Budgeting

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Prepare and monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.

Inventory & Supply Assurance

  • Collaborate with production and planning teams to maintain optimum stock levels while minimizing working capital.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production disruptions.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
  • Drive digitalization and automation of procurement processes using ERP systems.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and company compliance standards.
  • Identify risks in the supply chain and implement contingency plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the chemical/process/manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing, customs regulations, and import/export documentation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

KPIs include annual cost savings achieved, supplier performance, procurement lead time reduction, inventory turnover improvement, and compliance audit results.
