We are seeking a highly skilled Account Development Expert to join our Sales + Marketing team. This key role will focus on developing existing or new business by coordinating all business development actions and triggering opportunities within specified verticals for larger accounts.
Your Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement account plans to drive sales growth, ensuring alignment with company objectives and targets.
- Manage relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and selling our key products and services.
- Negotiate rates with customers in alignment with the business units, documenting and maintaining rate sheets as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates in our customer relationship system (CRM).
- Monitor performance against set targets, taking immediate action to address deviations.
- Ensure effective handover and transition of new business into operations, meeting customer requirements and company commitments.
- Conduct regular review sessions with assigned customers, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the freight forwarding industry.
- Experience in developing SME and national accounts, particularly within the Industrial and High Tech sectors.
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market share in a competitive environment.
- Ability to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
