Corporate Finance Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Finance Associate to join our team. This role will involve providing tax advisory services on deals from a tax perspective and foreign exchange control perspective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Advisory: Provide tax advice on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital repatriation, and royalty payments.
  • Deal Documentation: Draft and review deal documents, including term sheets, loan agreements, and share purchase agreements.
  • India Entry/Exit Strategy: Assist clients in conceptualizing deals with specific focus on India entry/exit strategy, favorable holding jurisdiction, tax efficiency, and commercial rationale.
  • International Tax Advisory: Provide advisory services on international tax issues, including permanent establishment, profit attribution, business connection, expat tax, employee stock option plans, indirect transfer, partial ownership of equity method investments, capital repatriation, royalty, foreign tax credits, broadcasting rights, and tax transparent entities.
  • FEMA and Compliance: Assist clients in compounding applications, lower withholding applications, condonation applications, assessments, appeals, and engaging with senior counsel.
