MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is our 100% subsidiary, established in 2020, with offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India serves as a Global Capability Centre/Centre of Excellence, providing support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/AML, Credit, Operations, etc., to our offices globally.

About the Role:

This role is part of our Global Corporate & Investment Banking team at MGS India. The successful candidate will be responsible for business management planning and administration, ensuring the stable operations of respective departments within GCIB.

• Strategic Planning:
  • Support the Head of GCIB in developing business strategy
  • Take a lead role in implementing global and/or regional initiatives and business strategies
• Financial Management/KPI/KRI:
  • Monitor departmental financial performance and assess against projected targets and thresholds to ensure the department is on track to reach targets
  • Support the Head and Directors/Team Leads on a regular basis to achieve financial/KPI/KRI targets
  • Responsible for tracking revenue and expense budgets with partnership with the Finance team
  • Manage MIS and initiate periodical updates/reporting, inclusive of interaction with HQ & regional onshore teams
  • Analyze research materials and develop financial models and projections to recommend new initiatives or improvements to stabilize and further expand business capabilities, and present to Senior Management
• Customer Engagement:
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with key stakeholders both within MGS/MUFG and externally
  • Work in partnership with overseas onshore branches and Head Office to develop strategies to promote business growth for GCIB and beyond
  • Work closely with existing and future stakeholders and provide support on an ad-hoc basis, including business trip logistics, meeting arrangements
  • Work in partnership with the General Affairs department to facilitate events, enhance office work environment, and corporate culture
• People Development:
  • Act as a role model to team members and adhere to all company policies/guidelines
  • Support, coach, and guide junior team members on complex issues
• Other/Control:
  • Responsible for monitoring all business risk profiles and taking a lead for reporting and resolution
  • Set up a governance framework for the newly established team
  • Support in developing and updating policies to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations
  • Develop recommendations for continuous improvement and support implementation
  • Support internal and external audits relevant to the department by preparing documentation as required
  • Maintain good working knowledge of GCC industry trends, products, relevant laws, and regulations
  Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-4+ years of experience in reporting/business management or related fields
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, and an ability to build partnerships
  • Highly organized, with a structured and logical approach, and an ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities
  • Capable of developing presentation materials for internal and external senior stakeholders
  • At a minimum, proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, are required. Knowledge of corporate banking products, services, and systems is an advantage
