Geotechnical Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Geotechnical Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing geotechnical investigations, borehole data, and foundation recommendations to support structural and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft scope of work for field/lab testing agencies: borehole number, depth, test types as per codes.
  2. Coordinate with field teams to resolve technical queries and suggest changes during site execution.
  3. Review and summarize borehole data to assist structural design and foundation decisions.
  4. Prepare detailed Geotechnical Interpretation Reports including:
  5. Safe bearing capacity (SBC)
  6. Pile capacity by diameter and depth
  7. Soil spring constants
  8. Liquefaction analysis
  9. Soil-structure interaction
  10. Secure approval of reports from authorities, proof checkers, and other stakeholders.
  11. Review field tests like pile load tests and plate load tests.
  12. Support pre-bid engineering and represent the firm in technical meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in geotechnical investigation/reporting.
  • Strong civil engineering fundamentals and site coordination skills.
  • Proficient in preparing design summaries and technical documentation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Desired Skills

The following skills are highly desirable:

  • Familiarity with LPILE, WALLAP, PLAXIS, or equivalent geotechnical software.
  • Exposure to ground anchoring and improvement techniques.
  • Prior experience with infrastructure or structural projects.
