Job Title: Senior Windows Systems Administrator

This role involves designing, implementing and maintaining Windows systems in large corporate environments.

About This Role
  • We install, document and configure Windows Operating Systems.
  • We review complex designs and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage etc. in accordance with design requirements.
  • We perform Operational Acceptance Testing and evaluations as part of Service Integration, ensuring acceptability and usability on a scale, capacity, resiliency and reliability level.

The successful candidate will have a full understanding of the area of specialization and be able to resolve a wide range of issues creatively.

Responsibilities
  • We monitor systems to ensure platforms are available in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • We provide support to ensure that monitoring systems are available at all times and that appropriate thresholds and alerts have been set to ensure system availability.
  • We react and respond to events in accordance with escalation procedures.
  • We provide complex statistical information to datacentre management for weekly and monthly status updates and additional information as required.
  • We act as 3rd line technical support.
  • We deploy changes in accordance with the Global Payments change control process.

The ideal candidate will have experience in system administration or related experience, with a strong understanding of Active Directory, Windows Server, MS Windows Clustering and other relevant technologies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Typically Minimum 4 Years Relevant Exp.
  • Experience in system administration or related experience.

The preferred candidate will typically have minimum 6 years relevant exp and be certified in MCSE or equivalent.
