Your Role

As a Learning and Development Officer, you will assess organisational training needs, design effective learning programs, and ensure the seamless delivery of training initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Training Needs Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments through surveys, interviews, and observation to identify skill gaps. Work closely with department heads to outline current capabilities and future learning needs.
  • Program Design & Development: Design training curricula and lesson plans that align with business goals. Create learning paths and career frameworks to ensure clear development opportunities for employees.
  • Training Delivery: Facilitate interactive training sessions and coordinate external trainers. Utilise learning management systems (LMS) to deliver and track training programs.
  • Evaluation & Improvement: Develop tools to assess the effectiveness of training programs, analyse the results, and refine content and delivery methods for continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all training programs meet regulatory standards. Maintain accurate training records and report key metrics to senior management.
  • Employee Support: Assist employees in creating individual development plans and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring.
  • Strategic Planning: Align L&D initiatives with the company's strategic objectives and manage the training budget effectively.
  • Innovation & Creativity: Stay ahead of the latest L&D trends and incorporate cutting-edge technologies like VR, AR, and AI into training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in learning and development, with hands-on experience in training needs assessment, program design, and instructional facilitation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in LMS platforms, instructional design tools, and e-learning software. Experience with VR, AR, or AI-based training methods is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills. Strong ability to analyse data and refine training programs for better outcomes.
