Investment Manager Position

The Investment Manager will be responsible for understanding the expansion plans of Indian companies into international markets, engaging with clients, generating leads, and supporting International Economic Development Agencies (EDAs & EDOs) towards attracting investments in their region.

This role involves interaction and business development meetings with Indian companies looking to invest in international markets, specifically in the UAE. Strong networking skills and a thorough understanding of various business sectors of client countries are critical for this role.

To succeed, you will need to have a good understanding of international markets, economies, and strong networking skills. You will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the client's proposition, geography, various sectors, business strengths of the region, tax benefits for an investor, policies, and compliances.

The key responsibilities include interacting with overseas companies/consultants via various modes of communication, identifying opportunities for our clients, presenting our client's geography as a potential business location for company's expansion plans, analyzing and formulating reports from data/information gathered from interactions and meetings, and writing proposals, business plans, and analysis.

You will also be responsible for setting up meetings with CXO level executives of qualified companies, preparing and delivering presentations on research findings and trends on cross-border investments, Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), and internationalization. Additionally, you will manage junior team members and mentor them through the process.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the client's proposition, geography, various sectors, business strengths of the region, tax benefits for an investor, policies, and compliances.
  • Manage the complete investment promotion project of our client geographies (Economic Development Organisations)
  • Conduct evaluation meetings with Indian companies/conglomerates
  • Engage in discussions with CXOs of Indian companies and develop an understanding of their expansion plans in various international markets.
  • Identify companies with business interests to invest/expand in the international markets and generate leads.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 3-4 years of experience in Trade promotion bodies, Expert Network, Trade & Investment Promotion, Investment Attraction, SME-Corporate Banking, Economic Development, Market Entry with experience in business development and handling overseas clients.

Qualifications include Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preference for Master's degree in fields of Economics, Finance, International Business (other disciplines will be considered where candidates can demonstrate core skills required).

Strong industry expertise and networks, along with strong communication skills with fluency in English, are essential for this role.
