Senior Tax Strategist

The Global Tax Strategist will be responsible for overseeing the company's global tax compliance, planning, and strategy. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and payments worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance:
- Manage global tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, transfer pricing, and other indirect taxes. Africa exposure is a must.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and local finance teams to manage compliance in various jurisdictions.
- Tax Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's global tax position.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and incentives across different countries.
- Tax Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures in the financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., ASC 740, IFRS).
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate tax risks through robust controls and processes.
- Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities, ensuring favorable outcomes.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of tax professionals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance, legal, and business units to support global operations and initiatives.
