About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Network Specialist to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks. The successful candidate will work on field deployment, testing, and ensuring high-quality connectivity for enterprise and ISP applications.

The role involves working with fiber optic cables, performing OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure network quality, and supporting network maintenance, fault identification, and restoration of fiber breaks.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance, a diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, or related field, and basic knowledge of fiber technologies (single mode, multi-mode).

Familiarity with fiber splicing machines, OTDR, and related tools is essential. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, good communication, and teamwork abilities are also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in installation, splicing, termination, and testing of fiber optic cables.
  • Perform OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure network quality.
  • Support network maintenance, fault identification, and restoration of fiber breaks.
  • Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, splicing details, and test reports.
  • Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and customers during project execution.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and project timelines.
  • Provide on-site support for FTTH, backbone, and enterprise fiber projects.
Requirements
  • Diploma/B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of fiber technologies (single mode, multi-mode).
  • Familiarity with fiber splicing machines, OTDR, and related tools.
  • Ability to work in field environments and travel to project sites.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Competencies
  • Understanding of FTTH, DWDM, MPLS, and backbone fiber networks.
  • Exposure to ISP/Telecom/Infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and industry best practices.
