Job Overview

This role involves supporting the line manager in developing strategic plans and allocating resources for assigned cities.

  • The successful candidate will implement direct dialogue fundraising strategies and objectives, meet targets for various fundraising avenues, and develop a calendar of fundraising activities for the city.

About the Role:

This position requires a seasoned professional with expertise in fundraising, resource mobilization, and corporate sales. The ideal candidate will have experience handling teams and possess strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the line manager in developing strategic plans and allocating resources for assigned cities.
  2. Implement direct dialogue fundraising strategies and objectives, meeting targets for various fundraising avenues.
  3. Develop a calendar of fundraising activities for the city.
  4. Provide direction and leadership to the outreach team.
  5. Assist outreach officers in proposal preparation and meetings.
  6. Work with the communication team to incorporate marketing and branding.
  7. Monitor and report on fundraising results, allocated expenses, and KPIs.
  8. Regularly monitor the external environment and report back to the line manager.
  9. Ensure agreed operational processes are followed.
  10. Communicate campaign moments and messages through the DD team.
  11. First-level line management responsibility for 5 people.

Decision-Making Authority:

  • Appointment and separations of recruiters & team leaders within client guidelines.
  • Deployment of staff across locations and fundraising strands.
  • Signing off on companies or venues based on values alignment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience in fundraising, resource mobilization, and corporate sales.
  • Ability to understand nuances of corporate communication and position the organization.
  • Experience handling teams of 10 people in the 22-30 age group.
  • Understanding of Greenpeace campaign issues and translating them into fundraising opportunities.
  • Good English writing and speaking skills; knowledge of local languages beneficial.
  • Basic computer skills and data analysis experience.
