Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Talent Sourcing and Recruitment: Develop end-to-end recruitment strategies to source skilled artisans, experienced showroom executives, gem specialists, and back-office personnel.
  • Staffing Planning: Partner with store leadership to identify staffing needs in anticipation of festive seasons and wedding periods key retail peaks for heritage jewelry.
  • Talent Development: Cultivate a robust talent pipeline, maintaining the brand's standards of integrity, hospitality, and tradition.
Training and Development:
  • Product Knowledge: Design and facilitate training programs focused on antique jewelry, temple jewelry, hallmarking, customer interaction, and brand storytelling.
  • New Employee Onboarding: Conduct immersive programs that introduce new employees to the history, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Culture of Continuous Learning: Establish workshops, peer learning, and periodic upskilling to promote employee growth.
Performance Management:
  • Performance Appraisal Systems: Implement systems that align employee goals with store-level revenue targets, customer satisfaction, and product expertise.
  • Transparent Reviews: Ensure objective and transparent performance reviews, enabling recognition and corrective development as needed.
  • High-Performing Teams: Support leadership in building high-performing retail teams.
Employee Engagement and Relations:
  • Familial Work Environment: Foster a familial work environment reflective of the brand's traditional roots and customer-first philosophy.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve interpersonal or team-related issues with empathy and neutrality.
  • Employee Recognition: Champion employee engagement through recognition programs, cultural events, and wellness initiatives.
Policy Compliance and Governance:
  • Labor Regulations: Ensure full compliance with all applicable labor regulations, jewelry trade-specific mandates, and internal ethical guidelines.
  • HR Policy Revision: Periodically revise HR policies to align with evolving workforce expectations and legal standards.
Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits:
  • Payroll Disbursal: Oversee timely and accurate disbursal of payroll and statutory contributions.
  • Incentive Programs: Design role-appropriate incentive programs for retail and sales staff during festival or promotional periods.
  • Industry Benchmarking: Benchmark compensation with industry standards, maintaining fairness and competitiveness.
HR Systems, Reporting, and Analytics:
  • HR Record Management: Manage HR records and reporting through digital or legacy systems as required.
  • HR Metrics Monitoring: Monitor HR metrics such as attrition, absenteeism, training impact, and staffing efficiency.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Present strategic insights to management for data-driven HR decisions.

Required Attributes and Skills:

  • Cultural Nuances: Strong grasp of the cultural, operational, and consumer nuances of South jewelry retail.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities with high emotional intelligence.
  • Brand Balancing: Ability to balance traditional brand values with modern HR practices.
  • Staff Management: Hands-on experience managing staff across multiple showrooms or locations.
  • HRMS Proficiency: Proficiency in HRMS, attendance systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree: Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • HR Certifications: Certifications in HR strategy or employee engagement are advantageous.
